Hey, Evan here!

Nimble started out as a simple D&D hack, to help speed up the sometimes incredibly slow combat and give players more agency and tactical choices. And almost immediately people began asking for me to take it to the next level, make it its own RPG. So I did!

Nimble 5e is v2.0 of this project. It's is a FAST, Tactical, 5e compatible TTRPG that even further eliminates the slog—using some of the best elements from the greatest RPGs around. Less waiting, more freedom for creativity & teamwork, easier to run for the GM, easier to pick up for new players so we can grow this wonderful hobby of ours.

Nimble V2 is coming! Here's what is new...

Hey, Evan here!

We’re just 1 week away from the launch of the Nimble v2 rules. The v1 modular ruleset for 5e launched here last year and almost immediately I began receiving requests to make it into its own system. So I did!

If you have not idea what this is, read on! If you'd like to be notified when the project launches, you can totally do that right here.

What’s new? (30,000 ft overview)

• The core rules have been streamlined & improved even further while still maintaining its 5e compatibility.
• 11 New Classes (and 22+ subclasses) have been created to better take advantage of the Nimble core rules (guys, I can’t tell you how much I LOVE these. Super flavorful and customizable without being fiddly or slow to play).
• Dozens of New Spells (tactically interesting ones and no more save-or-suck fun ruining spells) YOU CAN TURN INTO A DRAGON.
• New Magical Items (interesting ones the GM will LOVE to hand out. Couple of my current favorites: The Sword of Many Hands and Glacier in a Bottle. Yes, they do exactly what you think).
• A New Adventure, specifically designed to get people playing quickly and smoothly (and created by veteran designer Josiah Moore, Stanley Nesbitt, and myself). It will teach the rules as you play instead of needing to slog through hundreds of pages of rules text. Teaching new GMs and players and growing the hobby is a big passion of mine, and removing as many barriers to that happening is HUGE.

New Nimble classes! & ALL orders have been shipped

Hello all! 

Some exciting news happening in the Nimble discord server: I recently released 2 alpha versions of updated Nimble specific classes (only levels 1-7) the Paladin & the Ranger. Come check them out and send in your feedback. More classes to come soon.

Quick shipping update: 

ALL orders and preorders (from Kickstarter and Backerkit) have been shipped. A handful of people who ordered physical rewards haven't given me their address, but apart from them all orders are in the mail. Many backers have reported receiving their packages already US and international orders. Some orders have recently shipped so don't worry if you haven't received yours just yet. If you haven't received your order by the end of the month, please reach out to me and I'll look into it for you.

The booklets are in and shipping has already begun!

I received the booklets from the printer this past Saturday and have been packing & shipping ever since. We're roughly a third of the way through already, hope to have the rest finished up in the next week or so. 

It's been a TON of work, but very rewarding to hear SO many people already putting the rules to use with fantastic results.

Ending Soon: the first Nimble specific adventure!

You should check out this project that's in its final hours! Fernbloom's Guide to Freebone Vale is a drop-in setting packed with adventure seeds, encounters, locations, a one-shot adventure... BUT even cooler than that is going to have the very first adventure that is specifically made for Nimble! Though you can use any 5e module & statblock with Nimble, creating a version specifically for the system makes things even easier. I'm working with Tim, the creator, to make sure it's great. Check it out before it ends!

All backers and preorderers should be receiving the download link from Backerkit to get the final Nimble PDF release today! If you didn't get it, make sure you've filled out your survey and double check that your card wasn't declined. If you have any issues please reach out to me and I'll get it sorted. Join the hundreds of people already on the Nimble Discord to chat about the project and let me know how your sessions go as you start trying it out for yourself (I'd LOVE to hear about it). 

For those with print rewards, all files are with the printer, I've already received confirmation that the DM cards and player cards have been printed and already en route to me. The print booklets are scheduled to be arriving to me mid December and shipping will begin ASAP once I receive them.
